A film, also called film or movie, is a series of still images or moving. It is produced by recording images of photography with the camera, or by creating images using animation techniques or visual effects. The process of filmmaking has evolved into an art form and industry.
Films are cultural artifacts created by specific cultures, which reflect the culture, and, in turn, affect them. The film is regarded as an important art form, a source of popular entertainment and powerful method for educating – or indoctrinating – citizens. Visual elements of cinema gives universal power of communication. Some films have become popular worldwide attractions by using dubbing or subtitles that translate the dialogue into the language of the viewer.
The film consists of a series of individual images called frames. When the images are shown rapidly in succession, the viewer has the illusion that the motion occurs. The audience can not see flickering between frames due to an effect known as persistence of vision, in which the eyes maintain visual image for a split second after the source has been removed. Viewers see the movement as a psychological effect called beta movement.
